Seeking a Full Stack/Laravel 5/PHP developer with strong experience building secure software.
Job is for PHP (Laravel 5.1+), HTML5/JS/CSS (SASS/LESS).
The applicant must have experience working on APIs as well as Front-end applications.
Requirements
5+ years of experience with object-oriented PHP a solid understanding of object-oriented concepts and experience employing them
knowledge of common software engineering patterns expert experience
Must have strong skills with Laravel 5.x, with SQL, working with dozens of models and tables, subqueries, outer joins, analyzing query plans, performance tuning, proper selection of indices Git workflow
Prefers to take advantage of Eloquent and Laravel's other magic methods instead of relying on raw DB/PHP queries
Comfortable with jQuery/ECMA 6, RequireJS
Experience with Continuous Integration (Circle CI preferred) maturity, responsibility
Dedication to building high-quality, reliable software
Has experience working with third-party APIs (Twilio, AWS, etc)
Desired
test-driven development using PHPUnit/PHPspec
familiarity with the AWS ecosystem and AWS tool integration
experience leveraging the best tools
excellent oral English skills
5+ hour overlap with Houston business hours at least 4 times a week
broad set of skills in employing open source and modern solutions in SaaS businesses
