Self-motivated and smart-working graphic designers with minimum 5 years of relevant experience exclusively in IT/e-learning graphic and media designing required to work on a project for converting existing courses and training text/resources into electronic content. The job requires designing and creating wide range of innovative solutions for engaging, media-rich, interactive content. The job also requires re-creating, developing, transforming, or replacing of digital curriculum assets, i.e., content interfaces, interactivities, images, graphs, 3D content, and videos currently used in existing training resources for conversion into electronic platform neutral training texts.
Orientation of using iPhone, iPad, and Apple mobile applications and working knowledge of HTML5 is a must. Prior experience of working on conversion projects for courses compatible with mobile/tablet devices will be an added advantage.
Duties and responsibilities
The primary job duties and responsibilities of the graphic designer include (but not limited to):
- Creating, designing, and producing graphics, audio, video, photography, and other multi-media content using traditional tools and equipment as well as specialty equipment and software.
- Creating and maintaining media to ensure platform independent integration and delivery.
- Conceptualizing and designing visually invigorating, graphic rich content.
- Using various authoring tools, such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Articulate Storyline, Lectora, and iBook Author (from Apple Inc.). Experience of working with iBook Author will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrating skills and attitude of good judgment, a creative mind, and applying analytical thinking to build quality graphics for online learning products, including computer-based training courses, classroom technical inserts, and stand-alone training products such as video or audio-based instruction.
- Developing innovative ideas for presenting content in varied formats, including eBooks, web-based, and mobile learning domains.
- Ensuring media quality by taking all proper measures to ensure the curricula and all included elements are fully tested, free from errors, technically accurate, complete, reliable and usable.
- Actively communicating with customers to understand their requirements and deliver creative design concepts and finalize designs to their satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skill Sets
Fulltime regular graduates in any discipline (preferably graphics and multimedia). Please note that qualifying degrees earned through correspondence or distance education shall not be considered for candidates based outside Saudi Arabia.
Desired skill sets include:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in multimedia graphic design and e-learning, out of which at least 3 years in using various authoring tools.
- Orientation of using iPhone, iPad, and Apple mobile applications a must.
- Experience of working with graphics creation and maintenance for handheld devices and varied layouts, such as portrait and landscape
- Demonstrated experience of working with Adobe Flash timeline animation skills
- Demonstrated experience of working with Articulate Storyline/Adobe Captivate
- Demonstrated experience of video and sound editing
- Demonstrated experience of working with HTML 5, CSS layout, and JavaScript
- Demonstrated experience of creating and maintaining basic 3D imagery
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and work on projects with short deadlines and to work under pressure & changing requirements and deliver the required quality output
- Must have strong e-learning and Usability/User Experience skills along with Mobile and Tablet Responsive Design
- Understand storyboards to create appropriate graphics.
- Interpret visualization inputs from GD / ID to create appropriate visuals.
- Understand the specifications of an interface / screen and translate the same into appropriate visuals using principles of page layout, typography, color usage and aesthetic design concepts.
- Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills and should be a team player.
The candidate must have sound experience in:
- Adobe Flash
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Premier/Adobe AfterEffects
- Adobe Dreamweaver
- Adobe Audition/Sound Forge
- Video editing skills will be a plus
- Mobile Learning projects
- Experience in E-learning domain with Mobile content/Mobile Application.
