Strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration
Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands, Clustering, Database mirroring, Replication, log shipping, Database security. capacity-planning, SSIS / SSRS /SSIS / DTS /ETL
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, connectivity, security issues etc.,
Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention.
Strong knowledge of indexes, index management, integrity checks, configuration, patching, Security How statistics work, how indexes are stored, how they can be created and managed effectively., Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.,
Technical awareness of infrastructure services, servers and storage technologies
exposure to change control and problem management procedures
Establishes quality standards relative to all aspects of database management
Knowledge on Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehouse will be an added advantage
