Principal Functions (Major Areas of Responsibility)
Assisting procurement officer to Manage the activities engaged in planning, procurement, and distribution of materials, equipment, sourcing, and supplies across multiple facilities. Coordinate with the projects to develop and manage the external supply base. Establish and maintain business unit requirements in responsiveness, quality, reliability, cost, and delivery
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with the co projects representative and others involved to maintain adequate planning, procurement, and distribution of materials, equipment, sourcing, and supplies across multiple facilities
• Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to departments originating requests.
• Perform buying duties when necessary.
• Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
• Assist for PI system recording, monitoring, reports etc.
• Contact suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.
• Check shipments when they arrive to ensure that orders have been filled correctly and that goods meet specifications, Compare suppliers' bills with purchase orders in order to verify accuracy and forward it to accounts.
• Expected to demonstrate a high level of commitment to providing a safe working environment for all staff in accordance with the company Health & Safety (H&S) procedures.
• Expected to ensure that all defined services are completed in accordance with the company quality procedures.
