Urgently looking for QC Welding Inspector.
Job Title: Inspector - QC Welding Discipline: Multi
Department: QA/QC. Report to: Corporate QA/QC Manager.
Academic Education: Must be Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Certifications: CSWIP 3.1/AWS Certified, ASNT NDT LEVEL II (MT, PT, RT, and UT).
Work Experience: Minimum five (5) year experience in Oil, Gas, Petrochemical projects.
Middle east experience must be considered as priority.
Job Summary:
Welding Inspector shall be certified as CSWIP 3.1, AWS/CWI. Inspector shall have a demonstrated background and thorough knowledge to codes such as ASME (Section V, IX, Etc.), ANSI (B31.3, 31.4, 31.8 Etc.), AWS D1.1, API Codes and Standards required for the execution of work. The inspector shall have a good knowledge and able to prepare PWPS, PQR, WPS & WQT for the proposed welding job. Where Non Destructive Testing (NDT) forms part of the work and Inspector is required to review the NDT programs and results.
Primary Duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for preparation of inspection formats/reports, QC Welding and other documentation as per the requirements and ensure correct execution of all welding works.
Ensure that the requirements for all welds, welder and welding activities are correctly specified and carried out in accordance with the relevant codes, client specification and contract standards.
Arrange all mechanical testing in lab including witness of client and certified agency.
Develop new/economic welding techniques, methods and procedures with the welders to enhance the productivity.
Analyze the fabrication/project drawings, Prepare the weld map, weld matrix, wps, Inspection reports and final documents as per the project requirements.
Monitor and handles the welder’s qualification testing welders qualification records.
Issue the job welder clearance card based qualification.
Coordinate with the EPC team and provide the technical support, Prepare the welding schedules and methods for the fabrication of structure, piping/spools and other.
Conduct field/site inspection before, during and after the job as per the ITP and project requirements. Coordinate with the client and contactor to full fill the project quality requirements.
